Down on the Farm

We were down at the farm for a family get together and I saw this little guy just singing away. I thought at first it was a young meadowlark but later realized that it is a male Dickcissel. It has a thicker bill and not as much yellow as the meadowlark. The male has a small black "bib" where as the meadowlark has a very distinctive black "V" on it's chest. The top picture is a meadowlark. There were also a lot of killdeer. They are very noisy.
