The best part of the day.

The best part of the day was being around good people with the same interest in photography. We had a great day and topped it off with a great lunch on the way home. The restaurant's hostess was a blast and the cook was to die for! We should have been taking pictures of him. ;0) And the cheesecake!!!! oh my, is that ever good. I brought home two so Larry could have some. We are still trying to eat it all. Doesn't it look yummy! I can honestly say, it is very, very yummy!!!!

At the Aquarium (Omaha Zoo)

Penquins and Jelly fish. I love to watch the penquins, they are so funny.

Birds Galore

If you like birds, this is the place to go. There are so many different kinds here it's unbelievable. And so many colors!

Conquering my fear

I have a fear of heights but am trying to overcome it in baby steps. A few weeks ago I was up in a bucket truck taking pictures...last week, the new "Skyfari" that they have at the Omaha zoo. It was a little creepy but I survived. It takes you from one side to the other. $2 one way, $4 round trip. What an easy way to get across the zoo.
That's Kris and Karron in front of me. I was the only one of the three of us not wearing a green shirt. I must not have gotten that email. ;0)

Cat paws

I love cats big and small. These are the most beautiful creatures. Unfortunately they were all inside taking their afternoon naps. All these were taken through the glass.

More butterflies from the zoo

Who needs a bunch of flowers to attract butterflies...just put out some scrubby sponges or oranges. I'm not sure what the scrubbies were soaking in, should have read the sign.

More than just butterflies

Went to the Omaha Zoo last Thursday...what a great day we had. Our first stop was the butterfly pavillion. This is such a neat place, and all sorts of butterflies that we don't get to see around here. They also have some humming birds. How cool is that!!!

A morning of reflection

Went to Crystal Springs again, trying to find that Green Heron. No luck. However, it was a fantastically lit morning and the reflections were wonderful on the lakes.

Here are some poppies from my butterfly and humming bird garden. Aren't they cool! They look like paper flowers.
