Grandpa's helpers

Larry just might get that sidewalk done this year! ;0). He had a couple helpers, looks like they are doing most of the work.

Friends flowers

Well, since the wind demolished my tulips I don't have much for flowers right now. So, I'll post some of our friends' flowers. ;0).

We went for a little ride last Sunday and stopped at a friends to see if they wanted to join us. She has tons of flowers in her yard. I snapped a bunch of photos while waiting for them to get ready for a ride. I think she needs to come to my house and make my yard pretty like hers. Thanks Gail for the beautiful subjects! ;0) You have a wonderful yard.

Streached Trike

We went on the MDA poker run this past weekend sponsored by Frontier Harley out of Lincoln. I hear there were around 2,000 bikes and they raised over $17,000. What a great time and a beautiful day to ride. I didn't take many pictures but got a couple of this streached out trike. Pretty wild ride!

Baltimore Oriole's

Finally, I got a gew shots of these guys. This is a male and female. They really like grape jelly and oranges. I have grape jelly in different areas of the yard and a new Oriole feeder but they seem to always got to this one jar of jelly. This is the first we have seen them in our yard since we've lived here.

They are a beautiful bird and love to sing. They sing all day long. They are a migrating bird and are some of the last to arrive in the spring (March to April) and one of the first to leave in the fall (August).

More flowers from my yard. I'm really getting tired of all this wind. It is very hard to take pictures when everything is blowing. But, I managed to get a few shots in last night when I got home.

The first one is what is left of my Tulips!! That's what they look like when the wind totally demolishes them. The only one I have left is the purple one and it doesn't look so hot any more. The rest are of my Pansies.

Play Ball

He likes to keep sunflower seeds in his back pocket. Then he can spit like they do on TV. ;0).

Eye on the ball, what concentration.

More baseball. This time it was overcast so much easier to get some pictures. Didn't have the glare of the sun coming right at me.

Baby Robins

They've hatched and are moving around in the nest. Here they are waiting for food. The neighbor can't wait for them to learn to fly so he can use his garden hoses. He has two in the back of his house and both have nests built on them.

Flying PeeWee

PeeWee likes to chase bugs. Here are a few of her flying through the air after them.
I was trying out the TV mode on the camera to freeze the action. Didn't do too bad but should have been a little closer.

Let me tell you bout...

The birds. This red bellied woodpecker is a thief, trying to steal the squirrel's food.

And the bees. It must have been to chilly for this one to fly around. I was so close that on a warmer day, I would've gotten stung being that close.

And the flowers. Lot's of wild violets in the park.

And the trees. They are a blooming.

Youth Baseball

I finally was able to get to one of the grandsons ball games. It was really hard to get some good pictures. I used my 200mm with the 2x tc for a few then took the 2x off. The first two shots are from behind the backstop so you can see a little blurring from the fence. The rest I stood out past first base. Unfortunately the sun was directly behind home plate so I had to do some post processing on most of those shots.

They play coach pitch but don't keep score, but if they did, his team would have one. They did a great job.
