Chased after these three birds all day Sunday. The male woodpecker has red from crown to nape of the neck, the female has grey at the crown then red to the nape of the neck.

I went to my mothers this afternoon and look what I found. Finally some flowers to take pictures of. The yellow and purple crocus are from her yard.
The little blue flower I found in our yard. They are really a weed.
All were shot with the 100mm macro.
This squirrel was so mad at me. I was sitting outside in my chair I now have set up down by the bird feeders waiting for the birds when this critter appeared. I just happened to be sitting right next to their feeder and it was not too happy about that. I really got a butt chewing!!
The bird is called a black-eyed Junco. This is the male. The female is more of a tan or light brown color. I haven't seen the female yet.
These were all shot with the 200mm with 2x TC.
I found these tulip leaves popping up out of the ground. They must have gotten transplanted when Larry built his garage.
This is a bud from a Magnolia tree that is supposed to be dead. Apperantly it's not. ;0)
OK, I may not have flowers yet but my trees and rose bushes are starting to bud out. I took these hand held with the 100mm macro.

Are you tired of the bird pictures yet??? You've seen these guys before I think. Well at least the cardinal. The other two are male and female house finches I think.
I have set up more feeders and now have a chair next to some of them in hopes that they will get used to me being there and not fly off all the time. They are getting more brave.
Used my 200mm with 2x TC. Now I'm itchin' for a 400 or 500mm :0)
