Got my new macro ring flash. Had to try it out. One more thing I have to learn about. It will take lots of practice to figure all this out. I don't know what all this stuff means. aaaaaaaahhhhh!!!

Gerber Daisies-Macro practice

Kris, if you're looking, let me know what you think.

I went out to Walmart and bought some Gerber Daises so I could practice with my new 100mm macro lens. Larry dug out one of his shop lights for me to use for better lighting. I think these aren't too bad but there is still so much to learn shooting with this lens. A whole different way of shooting with a macro.

More macro practice

1/400-2.8-1600 ISO

1/1250-3.2-200 ISO

1/320-13-1600 ISO

More macro practice. Not much to take pictures of though. Can't wait for spring.

New Macro Lens

1/200, 1600 ISO, 2.8

The three photos above were all the same settings. 1/13, 800 ISO, 8.0

1/15,1600 ISO, 10.0

I put some blue food coloring in the water to hopefully help it show up better.

Larry's eye. (0.5, 1600 ISO, 6.3)

Cat's eye (PeeWee) (1/10, 800 ISO, 2.8)

1/50, 800 ISO, 2.8

1/50, 400 ISO, 2.8

1/125, 400 ISO, 2.8

OK, here are my very first pictures with my new Canon 100mm Macro lens. As you can see I still need a lot of practice with this one.

I used flash on all shots.

Reading the Sunday paper

I always have help from one of our cats when I'm trying to read the paper or a magazine. This time it was PeeWee helping me out.

Larry celebrated his 50th Birthday Dec. 30th!! Still a kid at heart. Love the hat!
