Sandhill Cranes
My first experience in an overnight photo blind, and what an experience it was! Cloudy, snow and rain and temps below freezing. Makes you want to do it all again....NOT! Well, maybe if the weather were a little warmer, I'd consider it again.
Had to shoot at high ISO, which I really hate doing, so I got what I got. Not really happy with any of my over 800 shots, but they will have to do.
Happy Feet!
They toss corn stalks and sticks trying to impress the ladies.
I did enjoy seeing the thousand and thousand of Sandhill Cranes, and just amazed at the whole migration event of these birds. If you ever have a chance, go to the Rowe Sanctuary in Gibbon, NE during the crane migration...it is truly an amazing event. Check out the website. http://www.rowesanctuary.org/
